Introducing the Stratage Sargasso 5 String 3 Pickup Electric Bass. Unique Ash and Mahogany wedded body affording a full breadth and scope of resonance and response. A hand selected Burl Maple Top is included with all Stratage Bass Guitars. 3 Active Pickups yet only 2 are located in traditional positions therefore offering no additional encumbrances' to the player / performer. Hand Crafted in Spring Hill Florida this handsome instrument boasts a proprietary custom machined bridge equipped with Graph Tech Ghost Saddles with embedded Piezo elements (the 3rd Pickup). Equipped with the Great American Sounds Co Active Pickup System (GASCAPS) Model 1 a host of rich heretofore unattainable features are at the performer's finger tips. A 7 way Pickup Combination Touch Button array allows the performer to choose from any of the 7 possible pickup combinations a 3 Pickup Instrument has to offer. Not 2 or 3 or even 5 but all 7. Included with the GASCAPS Model 1 are Active Bass and Treble Controls with both Boost and Cut. A 6 dB gain boost is available on the instrument and just as the Pickup Combination switch is configured the mere touch of a button will alternate between the boost and normal positions. Both the gain Boost and Pickup Selectors have on board LED indicators providing the performer with a visual indication as to his gain and pickup combination selections. Proprietary and High Stability Professional Duty tuners are found on the Burl Maple Laminate headstock with handsome Stratage Logo Inlay (WMOP/BMOP/Abalone) are also standard on the Sargasso and Barent Bass Models. 3 Piece Maple / Mahogany /Maple Neck with Maple, Rosewood or Ebony 22 Medium Jumbo Fret Fingerboards are standard (Model Finish Dependant or Special Order). Graph Tech Graphite Nuts are employed on all models. Strap Locks are standard equipment on both the Barent and Sargasso Models. Dual Compartment, 5 Hinge Hard Shell Case and all required cables are included. Presently shipping with Stratage Phatz Series or Wilkinson Soap Bar style pickups. Other Pickup options will be available in the future. It's all about tone and the Sargasso and Barent Booth deliver, Big Time!
